1. Service Description
Brush Concierge provides professional makeup brush cleaning services through a monthly subscription model. Our service includes:
- Professional cleaning of up to 20 makeup brushes per monthly subscription cycle
- Free shipping both ways within the United States
- 5-7 business day turnaround time from receipt to return shipment
- Use of professional-grade cleaning solutions and sanitization processes
- Quality inspection and basic brush maintenance
Service Limitations
Our service is limited to makeup brushes only. We do not clean sponges, beauty blenders, or other makeup tools. Brushes must be in reasonable condition and suitable for professional cleaning.
1.2 Service Availability and Limitations
As we are currently validating our service model:
- Service availability may be limited or temporarily suspended
- Processing times may vary during high-demand periods
- We reserve the right to limit the number of new subscribers
- Service features and pricing may change with 30 days notice
We will communicate any service changes or limitations via email and our website.
2. Subscription Terms and Billing
2.1 Subscription Fee
The monthly subscription fee is $19.99, charged automatically on your subscription anniversary date each month. Payment is processed securely through Stripe, our trusted payment processor.
2.2 Automatic Renewal
Your subscription will automatically renew each month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before your next billing date. You will be charged the then-current subscription fee for each renewal period.
2.3 Payment Methods
We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and digital payment methods processed through Stripe. You are responsible for maintaining current and valid payment information in your account.
2.4 Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we will attempt to process payment up to 3 times over a 7-day period. If payment continues to fail, your subscription may be suspended until payment is successful.
3. Shipping and Handling
3.1 Shipping Process
We provide prepaid shipping labels for sending your brushes to our facility and returning them to you. You are responsible for securely packaging your brushes using the materials and instructions provided.
3.2 Turnaround Time
Our standard turnaround time is 5-7 business days from when we receive your brushes to when we ship them back. This timeframe may be extended during peak periods, holidays, or unforeseen circumstances.
3.3 Shipping Restrictions
Our service is currently available only within the United States. We ship to all 50 states but cannot ship to P.O. boxes for return shipments.
3.4 Shipping Insurance and Liability
We provide shipping insurance coverage for your brushes during transit:
- Outbound shipments (us to you): Insured up to $500 per shipment
- Return shipments (you to us): Insured up to $500 per shipment when you follow our packaging guidelines
IMPORTANT: We are not responsible for loss or damage that occurs:
- During postal/shipping carrier transit (covered by shipping insurance only)
- Due to improper packaging by customer
- For brushes valued above our insurance coverage limits
For brushes valued over $500 total, customers may purchase additional insurance through the shipping carrier at their own expense. We recommend customers photograph their brushes before shipping and declare accurate values.
4. User Responsibilities
4.1 Brush Condition
You are responsible for ensuring that brushes sent for cleaning are in reasonable condition. We reserve the right to refuse service for brushes that are:
- Excessively damaged or beyond repair
- Contaminated with harmful substances
- Fake or counterfeit products
- Not makeup brushes (tools, sponges, etc.)
4.2 Accurate Information
You must provide accurate shipping and contact information. We are not responsible for delays or lost packages due to incorrect address information.
4.3 Prohibited Use
You may not use our service for commercial resale purposes or on behalf of third parties without explicit written consent.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
5.1 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting customer service. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
5.2 Refunds and Cancellations
- First-time customers: 30-day money-back guarantee if not satisfied with first cleaning
- Subscription cancellations: Take effect at the end of your current billing cycle
- Partial refunds: Available for unused services as required by applicable state law
- Service interruptions: If we cannot provide service due to our operational issues, we will provide pro-rated credits or refunds
Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of service completion.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brush Concierge's total liability for any claims related to our service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service during the 12 months preceding the claim.
Important Disclaimer
Our service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. If Brush Concierge later incorporates in a different state, these terms will be governed by the laws of the state of incorporation, and we will notify customers of this change.
7.2 Dispute Resolution
We encourage resolving disputes through direct communication first. If that fails:
- Small Claims Court: Either party may file in small claims court for disputes under the court's jurisdiction limit
- Arbitration: For larger disputes, we prefer binding arbitration under American Arbitration Association rules
- Class Actions: This agreement does not prevent you from participating in class action lawsuits where prohibited by law
Arbitration will be conducted in California and governed by California law.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify subscribers of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
